Apple, in particular, has reportedly stationed purchasing teams in hotels near the factories run by Samsung and SK Hynix, two of the world’s largest memory makers. These teams are now living in nearby business hotels in places like Hwaseong and Pangyo in South Korea’s Gyeonggi Province, hoping to negotiate long term contracts that would secure memory supplies for the next two to three years.
특히 애플은 세계 최대 메모리 제조업체인 삼성과 SK하이닉스가 운영하는 공장 근처의 호텔에 구매팀을 배치한 것으로 알려졌다. 이 팀들은 현재 한국 경기도의 화성과 판교와 같은 곳의 인근 비즈니스 호텔에 거주하며 향후 2~3년 동안 메모리 공급을 확보할 수 있는 장기 계약을 협상하기를 희망하고 있다.
